Energy Rating Reports
All new residential buildings, townhouses & apartment development buildings, and alteration & additions projects will require an energy rating report for building approval. The current minimum energy report star rating is 6, but the new NCC 2022 will require a minimum of 7 stars which will be mandatory from 1 May 2024.
ESD Reports (SDA and SMA)
A Sustainable Development Assessment (SDA) and Sustainable Management Plan (SMA) may be required by some local councils in Victoria at town planning stage. The report will outline how a proposed development, such as a land subdivision into two or more townhouses, demonstrates sustainable design elements.
